Life in Houston

I moved to Houston, Texas in January 2021 to pursue PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Houston.

Stepping on the “Land of Opportunity” amidst the ongoing pandemic and moving to a new country is an experience worth cherishing.

To me, moving to Houston felt more comforting and home like. An evening walk along the Bayou, after a long day in lab, reenergizes me.

Bayou Trail, Houston.

Houston is all about good food, people and lots of fun. You never run out of choices to explore the restaurants and bar scenes. One of the culturally and ethnically most diverse city in the United States is also the house to World’s Largest Medical Center “Texas Medical Center” aka TMC. Before everything, Houston is the Energy capital of the World, an ideal place for a ChemE.

Trendy Vegan, Houston.

When it comes to food in Houston, I bet you to find an equally vibrant place in the US to give a competition. It is one of the best places I’ve ever lived so far. You will never run out of options for good food in Houston. Night life is yet another beautiful thing to experience in Houston.

Research is one major factor that contributes to satisfaction of living the US dream. I enjoy working on an interdisciplinary topic bridging biomedical and materials science. The world of crystal engineering and pathological crystallization is an evolving and interesting topic, that is a driving force to work for my thesis along with motivated group of people in the group developing bond and memories for life.

Stay Strong! 🙂
